I grew up surrounded by animals, from cats and dogs, to goats, horses, and even a pot-bellied pig! This upbringing led very naturally to a calling in veterinary medicine. I completed my D.V.M. degree at Cornell University in 2004 and have been caring for pets in RI ever since. Seeing how some pets (and owners!) are stressed by the traditional veterinary clinic setting, I wanted to offer something a little different. This led me to the idea of a mobile veterinary hospital. Mobile veterinary medicine has progressed to the point where almost any procedure that is done at a veterinary hospital can be done out of a mobile clinic. Also, I wanted to be able to care for pets that owners can’t bring to a clinic: goats, sheep, alpacas, and llamas. In my down time, I try to keep up with my current menagerie of one horse, two Mini Aussies, a naughty Italian Greyhound, and two very independent cats.
I joined the Creature Comforts team in February 2014, and I love going to work every day! My love for animals started at a young age and turned into such a passion that I later graduated with an Animal Science degree from URI. From there, I worked in the animal welfare field where I witnessed just how stressful a clinic atmosphere can be on animals. That's why I'm so pleased that we can offer our clients the versatility to see their pets in their house, in the van, or even on the front lawn if it makes them comfortable!
In my downtime I enjoy reading, rubbing the belly of my dog Molly (who is the most stubborn beagle this side of the Mississippi), and spending time with my other half, Steve.

My dogs have been Dr. Lindsay's patients for many years. Recently I made the decision to retire from my 25+ year career in the fashion industry, to spend more time with my husband and small army of dogs and cats. Considering my love of all animals and an overwhelming fondness for detail and organization, coming to work for Creature Comforts seemed like a perfect fit.
In my spare time I can be found with my three dogs, two cats, and my very patient husband in the garden.
